For my local readers... and visitors too!

Last night several girlfriends gathered together to support one of our girls that is going through Chemo right now for Breast Cancer..we get together the day before her treatment and..you know, let her know how much we love her, appreciate her, admire her strength and really to support her. last night we went to the relatively new restaurant in Forest Acres, Columbia, SC..Cafe Caturra. It was my first time,but several of the girls had been before and raved about it. Here is my take.. since I am a foodie and cook for a living(at times) between Mortgage Lending..here goes. I thought it was good...not great, but the price point on the food were concise with the portions..and speaking of the portions..apps were great..and I had the Crabcakes as an entree..very small, but filling and at $9.00 affordable. I also had a nice Oregon pinot gris @ happy Hour price of $5.00. The atmosphere is wonderful! Wide open..airy, flowy(is that a word) and bustling. All in All I will go back with the hubby sans the children..not a family restaurant to me although their wood-Fired pizza's looked delish. I would consider taking the children early..say 5-6ish..no later. So if you are in Columbia.in the 29206 area..pay Cafe Caturra a visit! Tell them Just Ask Beth sent you!
