A Flat Screen Nightmare...

Why is it that whenever we attempt to do something so simple like hang a TV on a Wall we have massive problems>!
Case in point, hubby treated himself to a 42" Flat Screen TV for Anniversary/Christmas Combo gift, ok, yeah that is EXACTLY what I wanted. Hell I don't care, he does nothing for himself so in hindsight I was pleased. However, we currently do NOT have a TV in our Living Room because it is was the only clean room in our home, not anymore.
Hubby ordered the TV from Amazon . Hubby and E his friend, attempted to mount the TV after 57 yes 57 holes in the walls looking for a STUD!, I couldn't take it so I packed up my middle daughter went to the beach, shopped, had dinner with friends and had a glorious weekend. Came home and WHAT, the TV is not on the wall, why you ask, oh well the WHOLE TV screen is Shattered as in the tube. Holy Shit Batman! So hubby calls Amazon and Voila New TV!
It is currently on the wall, crooked, I am pissed, he says it is fine and he isn't changing it. well, we will see about that. Anyway, there is a point, why is my WHOLE house looking like the Garage from SANFORD and SON just from mounting one freakin TV!!!

I think I missed something in that story - how did the shattering occur??? I am with you on the crooked TV. That would drive me to insanity - to constantly look at a crooked something|anything on the wall. I guess you will have to hire someone to come in and fix it while hubby is at work ;-)

oh my, I am sorry, but it's funny... we got a flatscrenn last year, and had just about as much drama hanging ours.... Before we had the tv we had one of those in the wall tv shelf things, so the hubby dry walled the hole over but wanted toleave an opening put the wires, and it still looks like crap. Why oh why do men have to have huge TVs????

Sorry, but this gave me a good laugh this morning. I was in the middle of the "if I have to spend another dime or go into the depths of Hell (a/k/a Harbison) one more time I am going to scream mode" - THANKS for the laugh.

Have a great holiday.
