Is it me or....
am I the only one that gets excited filling the buggy with newly purchased pencils, pens, paper, binders, crayons and markers and all of the other miscellaneous school supplies. I love the excitement that was evident in my daughters eyes as the mailman delivered the mail yesterday knowing they were going to find out who their teachers were.. we got exactly who we wanted and my girls are counting down the days to return to school. Now all we need are their new book bags from Pottery Barn and we are set.. They all got new shoes except my middle girl who said her tennis shoes were perfectly fine and she didn't need a new pair that "I could save my money"! So guess what I did.. bought her a fresh pair of Sperry's, her favorite.

Love buying school supplies! And since I became a teacher I got to keep buying them. This is the first time since I started 1st grade that I haven't bought school supplies! Wow!! That just hit me!
We ran errands this afternoon and getting school supplies was on the list. As I tried to wait patiently for my son to find a toy to buy with a birthday gift card at Target, all I could think of was getting my hands on all the school/office supply goodness. Even as a kid, I was much more thrilled with office supplies than toys.
I too usr to love buying school supplies. Enjoy!
All we have left to buy are shoes--there's something so hopeful about fresh crayons, isn't there?
