A question...

Hubby and I have 2 tickets Friday Night for the USC vs. Alabama Baseball game.. baby girl has a baseball game..would it be rude to make arrangements for her to be dropped off and picked up while we go on a date..or should we give them away and go to her game..Her 15 year old sister will be with her during the game to cheer her on.. One of us is always at the game or both of us.. She is nine..

If you decide you want to get rid of the tickets, I'll buy them from you! :-)

Take the date with hubby. Best advice I ever got (from my brother) is that kids need to be involved in activities not because mom and dad are watching from the stands, but because they really want to play. That perspective takes away all kinds of mommy guilt. I think if you make it to most game, missing one here and there is perfectly fine.

Games are tough--I'm cool missing practices, but games? Ugh.

Go on the date!

I say go on the date! And I love the advice from 'anonymous'. Unless you plan to be at every event for the rest of her life, letting her experience your occasional absence will foster some healthy independence.
